Birthday at Dozo, Soho, London

February 14, 2017

Last November (2016), I attended a birthday dinner at Dozo, a fine dining sushi restaurant in sushi. I was surprised by Dozo and I think their marketing might be slightly misleading. They market themselves as a “fine dining” restaurant, therefore I expected high prices, amazing quality and taste, and outstanding presentation. What I received was just a tiny bit above average for a relatively average price. Despite the wrong first impression I wasn’t disappointed with the food and service for the price I paid at the end of the meal.

Birthday evening at Pho & Bun and Tsujiri, Chinatown, London

February 9, 2017

My friend Amy hosted a birthday dinner at Pho & Bun in Chinatown last November. This was the second we’ve been to this restaurant. We stumbled upon it on a hunt for a late lunch after our haircut in September.

I ordered the raw beef pho with an additional mango and prawn salad to share. I really love both of these dishes and they’re currently my favourite from Pho & Bun. Chinese New Year 2017, London

February 2, 2017

Chinese New Year was on Saturday 28th January this year. It’s traditional to have a family meal on new years eve. This year, my family and I headed out to Chinatown, London, at Golden Phoenix for our meal.

All the restaurants were really busy with a short queue outside. We waited for 20mins before we were shown to our seats. We ordered a few dishes from the special Chinese New Year menu and some from the regular menu.

The dishes on the special menu were all dishes that contains ingredients that mean joyful things like good luck, be happy, be rich, good health etc

Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio [Part 1 of 2]

September 23, 2015

On the bank holiday Monday last month, we visited the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio at Watford, London. We bought our tickets a month in advance which is something I would strongly advice. The tickets sell out around 3-4 weeks in advance.

We started the journey with Google maps informing us on two accidents on the M25 causing massive delays and advised us to take another route. We didn’t get on the motorway till the last 15-20mins of the journey. It was such a shame as I really wanted a long nap, and the motorway is the perfect place for a comfy nap in the car.

It was a pretty rainy grey day but luckily 90% of it was indoors.

The studio held a portion of the original props, artwork, costumes, film sets, paper models and drawings. There were also an outside area which showcased the night bus and Pivot Drive.
